Blu Sky Part II (Official Video)

Posted in: VIDEO|October 23, 2012No Comments

Locke Kaushal’s new music video entitled “Blu Sky Part II ft. Chris Barz” is an extension of the original video- Blu Sky- he released earlier this year. While the original track had an upbeat & vibrant semblance, with part two, Locke set out to portray a different side of blue skies in which we are all too familiar with. From Locke, “this video is in essence the backstory of the first one. The track is darker, more melodic, and I think my goal was accomplished, which was to depict a few examples of trials before you obtain your blessings. But the underlying theme is that at the end of the day, with dedication, you’ll still obtain those blessings.

“I wanted the visuals for this video to be rich & vibrant, to reflect the upbeat feel of the track. The sample is ill, & Jay did his thing with really capturing the liveliness of the beat. Blue skies are never too far away…”

Let There Be Hell (Official Video)

Directed by John Ledbetter

Personal trials & tribulations sometimes cause us to overlook what’s going that’s really important in the world. Poverty, lack of education, crime, corruption & the list goes on. In “Let There Be Hell,” Locke Kaushal uses these visuals to help depict what he classifies as ‘hell on earth.’

Oxford 64 (Official Video)

“The song is off of my last project- ‘A Drunken Man’s Words’- & it’s entitled ‘Oxford 64.’ In 1964, Malcolm X gave a speech @ Oxford University in England, & in this particular song, I ripped his speech, chopped it up, & made it the hook (thus the title, Oxford 64). The video itself is black & white (to give it that antique feel), & incorporates different civil rights clips, as well as modern clips to help tell the story throughout the track.” -Locke
